Buzzer Beater gives Bulldogs victory over the Huskies

Another back and forth game on Monday night in the LWBL. The Bulldogs and Huskies remained close throughout the whole game, with neither team holding more than a 5 point lead. The game ultimately came down to the final two possessions. With under 15 seconds left Carter G. for the Huskies drove down the lane and laid it in for the tying score at 28-28. The Bulldogs quickly drove the ball up the court and found Julia H. open in the lane, she got her shot off just before the buzzer and drained it as time expired, giving the Bulldogs the 30-28 victory. The win moves the Bulldogs to 1-0 on the season, and the loss for the Huskies moves them to 0-1. Leading the scoring for the Bulldogs was Drew L. with 12 points. Others scoring for the Bulldogs were Dylan S. with 8 points, Lindzie N. with 4 points, and Andy M., Andrew S., and Julia H. each scoring 2 points. The Huskies were led in scoring by Carter G. with 16 points. Also scoring points for the Huskies were Anna L. with 6 points, Riley G. with 4 points, and Nick B. with 2 points.
