In a very close game that was tied with 2 minutes remaining, the Hilltoppers found a way to pull out the victory and the LWBL championship. Jayden J. of the Hilltoppers was fouled with just under a minute to play and the scored tied at 28. Jayden J. connected on both free throws to give the Hilltoppers a two point lead. The Hilltoppers then used some great defense to get the ball back and Jayden J. put the game away with a basket from the left wing with about 25 seconds left to give the Hilltoppers a 4 point lead. Leading the scoring for the Hilltoppers was Jayden J. with 16 points. Also adding points for the Hilltoppers was Kyle M. and Kyle C. with 4 points each, Emma K. and Ryan W. with 3 points each, and Devron S. with 2 points. The Bulls were led in scoring by Jon M. with 10 points. Also scoring for the Bulls was Jacob G. with 6 points, Keegan M., Lila A., and Ryan B. with 4 points each.

During halftime the shoot-out finals were held. Winning the shoot-out in the girls division was Maddie D., and winning in the boys division was Luke H.
Congratulations to Jayden J. and Lila A. who were named MVPs of the LWBL, and Rudy M., and Sydney C. who were awarded with the sportsmanship awards.
Thank You to all players for an excellent LWBL season. Mr. Nelson and I enjoyed running the league and watching all the players improve as the season went along.
